The Walla Walla County Conservation District is pleased to announce an opportunity to contribute to conservation and your community by serving on the Board of Supervisors in an appointed or elected position. Supervisors are public officials who direct the conservation district’s activities. Although they serve without compensation, they can be reimbursed for appropriate expenses.
A combination mail-in and poll-site election for a board seat on the Walla Walla County Conservation District will be held on January 21, 2025, at the Walla Walla Community College Water and Environment Center building, 500 Tausick Way, Walla Walla, Washington, in the conference room. Polls will open at 8 a.m. and close at 12:30 p.m. Registered voters who reside within the Conservation District boundary are eligible to vote. Candidates must be registered voters and live within the unincorporated Walla Walla County and may be required to own or operate farmland to be eligible. The candidate filing deadline is December 20th, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. Election procedures are available at the district office. Ballots are available upon request for eligible voters but must be requested on or before 4 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
