Walla Walla County Conservation District is seeking a seasonal intern to aid our programs including: in-stream restoration projects, riparian buffer projects, and landowner outreach & field assessments.
Requirements:
• Ability to communicate with farmers and ranchers effectively,
• Ability to work outdoors, traverse on uneven ground in varied weather conditions & carry 30 lbs.
• Strong knowledge of GIS, biology or agriculture.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a clean driving record at time of hire. Must be able to pass security and drug screening to work in a federal building.
Specific projects include removing invasive weeds on riparian projects ahead of riparian plantings.
