The Walla Walla County Conservation District (WWCCD) seeks an entry or mid-level full-time conservation scientist to join our team. Our mission is to conserve and enhance natural resources in the county through voluntary participation and education.
The District has a talented team that is mission-driven and cares about serving and improving our community. Our dynamic organization is led by volunteer board members and paid staff members who help landowners implement “on-the-ground conservation.” The successful candidate will work closely with local landowners, coworkers, and conservation partners to develop and implement conservation plans.
Job Duties:
Work closely with partners, staff, and landowners to complete our mission. Write grants to gain funding for projects that will improve natural resources. Implement projects from start to finish in cooperation with partners, staff, and landowners. Monitor projects and natural resources for compliance. Includes other duties as assigned.
