District interns were recently featured in the Union Bulletin for their work with the district.
‘(Travis) Morrison, a 2013 graduate of Walla Walla High School, is in his second year at Walla Walla University as a civil engineering major and works as an intern at the Walla Walla County Conservation District.
“Travis has grown up working with his family on a very progressive Walla Walla County farming operation, and he is acutely aware of the importance of soil and water conservation and good natural resource management to landowners,” says Rick Jones, district manager for the Conservation District…Jones says it has been “quite beneficial” for the district to hire student interns who are excited about the technology and tools they use. Two interns from WWU are currently working at the district: Morrison and Heather Noel, who earned a master’s degree in biology at WWU in 2013.’ http://union-bulletin.com/news/2015/apr/11/column-engineers-bring-clean-water-ww-and-beyond/
The District greatly appreciates the contributions of our interns!
