Renee Hadley
District Manager
Renee supervises day-to-day operations, coordinates with agencies, plans outreach and education activities, and writes grants. She is a licensed geologist with a background in soil identification, landslides mitigation, and erosion hazards. Her door is always open, so come on by and visit.
Joanna Cowles-Cleveland
Riparian Coordinator
You may find Joanna knee deep in streams but that’s ok. She monitors water quality in a few of our local streams. As our biologist, she has taken on the Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program (CREP).
Alison Crowley
Project Manager and Outreach Educator
Alison’s background in Natural Resource Management plus Outreach and Education make her a great choice to lead the Mill Creek Restoration Projects. As Project Manager, Alison will be engaging in community outreach and facilitating these restoration projects.
Annie Byerley
Conservation Scientist
Annie is a graduate of the AgForestry Leadership program and has a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Geology. She has extensive background in agriculture from years of working on her family farm. Annie is a valuable asset on many riparian and farm plan projects. Come see her in the office to talk about potential projects and get technical advice!
Cat Garza
Conservation Scientist
Cat has a background in natural resource conservation and fish habitat enhancement projects within the Walla Walla Basin and is a WWCC Plant and Soil Sciences graduate. She assists with riparian projects, soil health projects, riparian and upland surveys, and is very excited to be part of the Walla Walla County Conservation Districts’ team!
Grant Traynor
Conservation Scientist
Grant is our Voluntary Stewardship Program Coordinator. Look for him to be leading outreach events, developing projects, and helping both area producers and the general public understand how VSP works with landowners protect the critical areas of our county.
Eila Chin
Conservation Scientist
Eila is a recent graduate from Whitman College, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology-Environmental Studies. At the WWCCD Eila mainly works on riparian projects, although she also assists with other programs and projects. Don’t hesitate to reach out to her with any questions!
Jenny Freer
Bookkeeper
Jenny is our newest bookkeeper. Jenny is a recent graduate of Walla Walla Community College’s Bachelors program for Business Management.
