The Walla Walla County Conservation District is seeking applicants for an opening on its Board of Supervisors. This position is currently held by Pat McConnell and is one of two positions appointed by the Washington Conservation Commission. McConnell has indicated a willingness to reapply.
A district supervisor is a public official who serves without compensation and sets policy and direction for the District. An applicant must be a registered voter in Washington State and may be required to own land or operate a farm. Applicants for appointed positions do not have to live within the district to apply. Applications are made through the Conservation Commission website and must be received by the Commission no later than March 31, 2016.
