Annual Meeting is ON, the Election Canceled

Plan to attend the WWCCD Annual Meeting  being held January 28th, 2016, at the Walla Walla Regional Airport.  The  draft agenda  shows a full morning of interesting and timely topics including what a recent classification of glyphosate as a probable cause of cancer actually means.  The District has applied for Washington and Oregon pesticide credits. 

At the January meeting of the Board of Supervisors, the board passed a resolution to inform the voting public that the incumbent, Jim Kent, has been re-elected to the currently open position by reason of being the only person filing for the position by the deadline and with the required 25 validated signatures; therefore, pursuant to WAC 135-110-370, no poll site, absentee or mail balloting will be performed. Congratulations Jim Kent!
